As it has been announced here, hi5 is working on a toolbar.
So, it is already on public Beta. If you want to test it, please access this page:
This January 1, Group Transfers will be available again.
• To qualify groups must have 5000 members or more
• Groups with -5000 members will be put under hi5AveGroups
• The applicant must have a good standing record in hi5
• Be an active member of the group for at least 6 months
• Only one transfer per month/user
hi5AveGroups (hi5 Available Groups):
• Group was abandoned or has no administration
• Is of good social interest to hi5 and its community
• Group has a clean standing record
The new hi5 does not stop here.
While people are complaining about CSS not working in the new hi5, others saying “yes it works, if you hack it”, hi5 is creating new features for you!
Coming Soon:
– There are some changes in profiles (again!) and photos.
– Navigation reorganized.
– hi5 Toolbar, with coins and games interaction. You can earn coins if you search with toolbar.
– A page which lists all your received hi5 Gifts.

It’s been a while I don’t show you updates about the new hi5.
Everyweek there are new updates, but it’s intention to keep updates private.
Anyway, any user may (randomly) pick a Beta server (if you are lucky) and test it for some minutes.
For those people that never got the new hi5, here are some pictures of the changes since the last time I have shown you hi5 Beta.
New features are:
– Relevant Friends: people you have visited recently;
– hi5 Star (3D avatars);
– Moods;
– New hi5 Logo
There is still a new feature (for hi5 Avatars) that is not released in hi5 Beta, but I’ll keep it private for now (sorry… it’s a rule :))

hi5 is close to release a new major version.
This version has a complete new look, new navigation and a new feature: hi5 Star.
Avatars (hi5 Star) are 3D characters that you can create on hi5.
They’re like the cartoon version of you. You can choose what they physically look like, and you can also choose what “moods” they have.
Moods are descriptions like “happy”, “drunk”, “in love”, etc..

A new application is coming for hi5: Classifieds.
The application is OLX based, so it’s not done by hi5. Anyway, you’ll see a link in the header.

hi5’s Game Chat (as already noticed in the Next coming hi5 features list) is released in Romania and Peru.
If you live in those countries, just pick a game and start chatting.

Today has been released a new version of hi5 Flirt, much more complete and with more sense.
But later, not released yet, a new module of flirt will appear in everywhere you travel on hi5.
Here are examples:
hi5 released Videos in Mexico, so, if you live in Mexico, you will be able to access videos.hi5.com.
